The Joseph J. Hill Ralston/Mercy-Douglass House is a 55-unit
independent living apartment building for adults 62 and older.
Constructed under the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 202 Supportive
Housing Program, the state of the art facility opened in the fall
of 2001 and features modern conveniences, affordability and security
for its residents.
The Joseph J. Hill Ralston/Mercy-Douglass House combines the expertise
of two of Philadelphia’s finest providers of services to seniors,
Ralston Center and the Mercy-Douglass Corporation. Originally founded
as the Ralston/Mercy-Douglass House, the name Joseph J. Hill (President
of Ralston’s Board during the projects development) was added
to honor him for his leadership in developing the project.
